Playing with Devin

Devin is a pro at making box houses. The minute he stepped in the door of our house, he was ready to take Caleb outside to make a box house for him. Caleb was pretty happy about his house.

Decorating the house

Devin also made a tent inside. I love Caleb's expressions in these photos.

Visit with Sophie

Holly and Sophie came to visit us! Caleb loved playing with his Fort Worth friend, and Sophie loved seeing Baby James.

First time in a bounce house. This was as far as he got.

Brothers

Caleb: Yeah, I think I'll keep 'im.

James: *smirk*

Doin' a little jig....

James: Sheesh, is he always this loud?

James: He is???

James: That's it. I'm gettin' outta here.

James: Aw, he loves me.

James: And he thinks I'm funny...or is it funny lookin'?

Let's shake on it.

You think I'm funny lookin' too? It's the shoes, isn't it?

Because it couldn't be this handsome face!

We took the family to a pumpkin patch and met with Caleb's friend John (as well as our friends Zach and Beth). It was a beautiful day. Click the slideshow to see the larger photos.

Baby Wearing...Baby

I've worn both my boys as newborns. While I could write a whole post about that, and will someday, for now I'll leave you with some pictures. My firstborn is ready for some baby-wearing of his own.

James is there...can you find him?

See how handy? No hands needed!

Also note my son's unique way of drinking from a sippy cup.

So maybe he needs a little more practice before I let him try with a real baby....

Homecoming

Caleb has been a huge football fan this year! Maybe it has something to do with going to a game every Friday night (and sometimes Thursdays, too), and seeing so many people he knows, or getting a little bag of popcorn just for him, or getting to yell, "Go Leopards!" For these reasons and more, he loves it. Homecoming was even better, because it included a parade!

Waiting for the parade to start.

Here it comes!

The band!

Firetruck with the mascot!

Wave to everyone!

Our family at the game. See James?

Throwing a football. He got one almost every game.

Caleb and his friend Logan, who is sporting his first real haircut (he just turned one).

Giving a kiss to his buddy.

One of Caleb's many Grandmas (or great grandmas!) from the church.
